History of Mr Muscle

“Loves the Jobs You Hate!“

Starting with an aerosol based oven cleaner in 1986, the Mr Muscle brand was created the Drackett Company, specifically for the UK market. Before being acquired by SC Johnson in 1992, Drackett had made a name for themselves with the successful Windex and Drano brands of products.

Mr Muscle’s product range has expanded over the years to include anti-bacterial surface sprays, kitchen disinfectants, bathroom cleaners and window & glass cleaner. Along with the UK, Mr Muscle products are available in other parts of Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America and Africa.

About Glade Air Freshener

The Glade brand was launched in 1956, borne out of SC Johnson’s R&D department (housed in the Johnson Wax Research Tower). As part of their New Products Division, Sam Johnson’s leadership gave rise to other brands such as Raid, Pledge and OFF!, which were all launched (with Glade) between 1955 and 1958.

Glade includes spray air fresheners, plugins, scented oils and candles.

Pledge Wood Polish

Pledge was launched in 1958, as a result of SC Johnson’s New Products Division. Used to assist when dusting around the home, the range has expanded from furniture polish to include cloths, multi-surface sprays, floor cleaner and disposable wipes.

Made from a blend of wax and conditioners, Pledge Wood Polish is designed to both clean and preserve wooden furniture.

Facts About Toilet Duck

The name Toilet Duck comes from the innovative design of the bottle, which is shaped to allow the cleaner to be squirted under the toilet rim. The bottle neck resembles that of a ducks.

Along with Deep Action Gel (which kills 99.9% of all bacteria), the range includes Fresh Discs and 4-in1 Rimblocks.
